System Overview

An online rental mini program system built for store-based rental operations. It covers the full process: browsing products, choosing package combinations, placing online orders, picking up in-store, paying and refunding deposits, and managing after-sales operations from the back office. Customers browse by category or keyword, switch between Rental Packages and Single Items, review the hourly rate and the minimum rental period (for example, Min. 5-hour rental), add items to the cart and pay the rental fee and deposit online. Store staff verify orders, item quantities, customer information and rental periods to complete pickups and returns, then the deposit is reconciled and refunded. The back office gives a unified view of orders, rental income, deposits and inventory, making product circulation more efficient and rental management simpler.

  2. Add to Cart: pick single items or package combos, confirm quantity and rental period
  3. Pay Deposit (Pre-authorization): pay the rental fee and the deposit online, priced separately

Are the rental fee and the deposit calculated separately?+
Yes. Items are priced by an hourly rental rate (for example $10.00/hour) with a configurable minimum rental period such as Min. 5-hour rental, while the deposit is charged separately as a deposit rate. Both are itemized on the order, and the deposit is refunded after the return is verified.
Can equipment be rented as a bundled package?+
Yes. The Package Rentals module lets you combine multiple products into packages for different rental scenarios, and customers can switch between Rental Packages and Single Items — for example a Deluxe Family Camping Set (4-Person) bundle.
How do staff verify pickups and returns in-store?+
The staff side provides a pending return order list. Staff verify the rented items, quantities, customer information and rental period against the order, then complete item verification at pickup and confirm the return, with order tracking showing the current status.
How does the deposit refund work, and can the amount be adjusted?+
After the return is verified, the Deposit Refund Completed step shows the deposit paid alongside the actual refund amount, which is editable to cover cases such as damage or overdue returns. Confirming the refund closes the order.
Where can inventory and business data be reviewed?+
Product Management in the admin console handles listing, specifications and inventory maintenance, while the Data Dashboard provides a unified view of orders, rental income, deposit balances and inventory status to guide restocking and pricing decisions.
Do customers need to download a separate app?+
No. The customer side is delivered as a mini program, so users browse products, add to cart, pay the rental fee and deposit, and track orders and refunds without installing a separate app.
